About Me

My grandpa would tell you I learned to walk by walking to a horse barn. I developed a love and passion for horse training growing up on a small Indian reservation in Belcourt, North Dakota. Our family represents generations of horseman, including my great-grandfather who was a jockey, my grandfather who was a trainer, and an uncle, and cousin who continue to train.

I spent my childhood traveling the United States with my parents who both served in the military, finding time to be around horses everywhere we lived. My family settled in Chester, VA where I would finish high school and eventually enrolled at Virginia State University. I graduated from VSU in 2011 with a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Animal Science. While enrolled at VSU, I joined ROTC and was commissioned into the Army as an Intelligence Officer upon graduation. My commitment to serving our country could not stop my enthusiasm for horses and the sport. While traveling the US, I would stop at every racetrack I could. While in Korea I would take fellow Korean soldiers to the horse track and have them translate the program so I could wager on the horses. After a tour in Afghanistan, I decided to resign my commission and continue to pursue my passion.

In 2012, I joined the Dale Romans Racing Team to continue strengthen my horsemanship. I recognized this opportunity as an experience to work with Graded Stakes winners. In my five years on the Romans team I had the distinct pleasure to work with graded stakes winners such as Keen Ice, Molly Morgan, Go Maggie Go, Keen Pauline, J Boys Echo, Brody’s Cause, Not This Time, Guys Reward, O Prado Ole, Pick of the Litter, Free Drop Billy, Engaginglee and Silver Max. I’m now extremely excited to start my own stable and live my dream.
